The Moss Point School Board voted unanimously to retain John G. Ladner, Ed. D. as Superintendent of Moss Point School District for the remainder of the school term. Ladner stated that he is humble at the opportunity and will continue to work closely with the staff and students of the district as it rapidly moves forward.
Moss Point High School varsity cheerleaders traveled to Orlando, FL for their very first bowl game appearance at The Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida during the holiday break.
"I was really excited that we had a chance to perform in front of all those people at the game. It was very different then performing at our high school games."
The Tiger Cub Ambassadors Leadership Program is well underway. The leadership group is comprised of third and fourth grade students who were selected by their teachers. Selections were based upon the students’ potential leadership abilities and excellent academic and behavior record. The Tiger Cub Ambassadors are advised by Lead Teacher, Mrs. Angela Campbell.
During a visit to the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, the gifted students at MPKP learned about careers, explored their creativity, and applied thinking skills to the various stations at the center. This center is strictly discovery because it broadened the student’s world by encouraging learning experiences that enriched their minds through interactive and entertaining exhibitions and programs.
